Firefox 3 Launch T-Shirt Design Contest
Get ready to design the official Firefox 3 t-shirt design. Enter your design between now and March 16 2008.
The first round of judging will be done by an internal Mozilla team. The Mozilla team will pick the best five designs and the community will vote for the winner. The team will evaluate the designs based on concept/originality, effective communication of the brand and Firefox 3, completeness of design, visibility, legality, and feasibility. The winning design will be available for sale in the Mozilla store, a free t-shirt and a $250 gift voucher to Amazon. The four runner ups will receive a t-shirt and a $50 gift voucher to Amazon. The shirts will be printed on 100% organic t-shirts. Don’t forget to check out the Official Rules and FAQ.
The t-shirt should be designed on the themes that “reflect the positive aspects of the Web as a whole (and perhaps show Firefox’s connection to them) - things like innovation, global community, collaboration, knowledge, fun, technology, etc. OR you can “focus on any of the specific Firefox benefits as the basis for your concept. These include security, customization, “100% organic software”, performance, productivity and of course many more. See the Firefox messaging document for more inspiration.” You can view the design submissions on Flickr.
The prize is very low by todays contest standards but if you are into recognition over money then this might be a contest for you.
