T-Shirt Contest - Design Theme: Bikes not Bombs - District Cotton - Ends: 9/10/07
District Cotton is a t-shirt company focused on selling both organic t-shirts and has a “strict labor compliance policy for all the goods” they sell to promote fair trade t-shirts. District Cotton is holding a t-shirt contest to raise money and awareness of the organization Bikes not Bombs in Boston. The theme of the contest is bikes! You can create a design that is about bikes or bike riding. The winning design will be printed on one of District Cotton’s organic cotton t-shirts and they will win $200 cash and $50 certificate for District Cotton apparel.
10% percent of the “proceeds” will go to Bikes not Bombs. I am not sure exactly what they mean by “proceeds” but let’s hope it is of gross sales and not synonymous with “profits” because that is REALLY low. If someone is having a contest with the intention of donating and marketing it as such they should be giving at least 51% of all profits.
You can check out all of District Cotton contests and if you want to learn more about Bikes Not Bombs you can visit their web site at
www.bikesnotbombs.org.
Don’t hesitate, t-shirt contest entries must be received by September 10, 2007.
