Every two seconds someone in the United States needs blood. Blood is needed for emergencies and for people who have cancer, blood disorders, sickle cell anemia and other illnesses. Last year, some 4 million people gave blood—the gift of life—through the Red Cross. And the Red Cross needs more blood and with your help, you can get people do remember to donate blood with a t-shirt design.

Red Cross

The Red Cross recently launched a nationwide design contest for the 2008-2009 blood donor t-shirt for youth and young adults. We’ll be screening the design on an estimated 600,000 t-shirts and offering $1000 to the winning designer. All donors on high school and college campuses will receive the t-shirt as a gift for donating. Submissions will be judged on content, creativity, and design quality. The winners will be chosen by a a panel of Red Cross youth volunteers and blood donors. Winners will be notified Friday April and the t-shirts will be distributed August 2008 to June 2009.

Halloween Contest Winner Announced at ChoiceShirts - We All Carry a Monster Inside

Here is the lucky winner of $300 for the ChoiceShirts t-shirt design competition for Halloween of 2007. THe

ChoiceShirt Halloween Winner

The design beat out hundreds of other entries. For every purchase of the shirt that is made ChoiceShirts.com will donate $10 to the American Cancer Society.

Personally I like the phrase for Halloween but I am not a big fan of the font. It really doesn’t fit a very big audience and the green and purple don’t work for me. I would love to see it have more of a Halloween edge to it and maybe a little scarier. Anyway, congrats to the winner and I hope it sells a lot so Choiceshirts can make a sizable donation to the American Cancer Society.
